You will create an educational presentation for families in a specific stage of the family life cycle (newly married couple, families with new baby, families with school-aged children, families with adolescent children, empty nest stage/launching children, retirement stage, aging). You will choose the stage.
Your audience is seeking to gain an understanding of what this stage consists of, including challenges, as well as how to successfully transition into this new stage. Consider what parents can do in this stage to help their family flourish.
If a family encounters difficulties in their transition to a new stage, how can family therapy help them? USE evidence based interventions methods or techniques/ family therapy techniques discussed throughout the course or discovered in your own research.
You may use any method you choose for the presentation that can be submitted via Moodle. Ideas include PowerPoint with voiceover, video uploaded, YouTube Video Link, Prezi, Whiteboard Video or any way you can get the communication across to the group you are preparing to meet with.
