Telavancin: A lipoglycopeptide antibiotic used to treat complicated skin and skin structure infections caused by susceptible organisms.
Plazomicin: An aminoglycoside antibiotic used for the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis, caused by certain resistant bacteria.
Linezolid: An oxazolidinone antibiotic used for the treatment of serious infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics.
Ceftolozane/tazobactam: Another combination antibiotic consisting of a cephalosporin (ceftolozane) and a beta-lactamase inhibitor (tazobactam). It’s used for complicated intra-abdominal infections and complicated urinary tract infections.
Ertapenem: A carbapenem antibiotic used for the treatment of moderate to severe infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Rifaximin: A rifamycin antibiotic used to treat traveler’s diarrhea caused by E. coli and for reducing the risk of recurrence of hepatic encephalopathy.
