While most companies have diversity programs, only 25% of the employees surveyed in 2017 felt they had benefited from these initiatives (Tsusaka, 2019). As a human resources manager, you must synthesize change management principles for staffing in dynamic business environments. More simply put, you will demonstrate organizational behavior skills when you help promote an organizational culture that responds appropriately to the needs, attitudes, beliefs, and values that diverse people bring to an organization. 

Times of rapid technological changes, economic difficulties, and labor shortages make it harder for organizations to recruit employees, and so once they do, you need them to want to stay.  

Assessment Deliverable

In this assessment, you are assigned as a lead committee member for the development of a new recruitment and retention program at your organization. You must write a 525- to 700-word recruitment and retention report for the executive team. Include the following in your report:

  • Justify why emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) better serves the organization’s management principles.
  • Assess how DEIB could improve organizational goals related to employee recruitment, employee retention, and organizational leadership.
  • Recommend employee training initiatives to support your DEIB program.
